Deadlines this Friday, and I'm pulling these beaut Deadlines this Friday, and I'm pulling these beauties out of the kiln. They'll go to different shows: @ArtAxis will have me as their featured artist next week, and @CharlieCummingsGallery's "Habitat and Home" exhibition opens at the end of February. So keep an eye out, I hope you're as excited as I am for these cups! I'll also have some moth wall tiles available and some plates! Time has been flying by - January has been kind of a blur. The frigid temperatures didn't help either, for sure, but I appreciate the false Spring start that we have here in Kansas City for the time being. My doggies surely appreciate getting out of the house and sniffing the remaining mounds of ice/dog pee, which will be gone before we know it. We all appreciate the sun 🌞 being out again.

Just for reference, this took about a week to pain Just for reference, this took about a week to paint and apply the transfers to. I work in layers, usually added during the day, then fired at night. I paibt the outlines first and then fill everything in with lusters and vintage decals. Some of these elements overlap, which is why I fire in between. This piece was inspired by a @bekahblisspottery coffee mug I use almost every morning, a kitchen hut with blue and white plates and platters I dream about, my favorite children's book MOMO and a @kate.schroeder.ceramics mini malm burner I am in love with 🔥 Can you spot them?
